Building Responsibly Elects New Chair; Membership Grows To 10 Companies

Building Responsibly (BR) is delighted to welcome Philip Vaughn, Fluor’s Executive Director of International Government Relations, as the new elected chair of BR.

Vaughn was elected at BR’s Spring Meeting in Paris. He succeeds Tawny Chritton Keene, Director of Social Impact at Jacobs, who is stepping down after her two year term. At the Spring Meeting, Keene reflected on BR’s key achievements during her time as Chair. Her leadership of the group since its inception has been invaluable, and we look forward to her continued contributions as a member of the Steering Committee.

Vaughn stated his ambition for the group to be an active industry voice through engaging mining and civil infrastructure associations, and in developing best practices to address modern slavery. Vaughn joins Jess Verdon, Social Sustainability Manager at Multiplex, who is currently serving as Vice-Chair after replacing James Walker, former Group Head of Ethics and Compliance at Wood.

Building Responsibly also welcomed new members ACCIONA Infrastructure, McDermott, TechnipFMC and SBM Offshore, who were attending their first in-person BR Member Meeting and Stakeholder Roundtable. With four new members, the BR membership has grown to 10 companies, all represented on the Steering Committee.
